When Ryan saw a need for an affordable fingerprinting and passport photo business he jumped into action and opened the St. George location in August 2015. Now retired, Ryan is able to spend more time with his family and expand YUP Fingerprinting to more areas in Utah.

Ryan was born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan. At 17 years old Ryan earned the rank of Eagle Scout in the BSA. Then at age 19 Ryan served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Pocatello, Idaho Mission.
In 1999 Ryan was hired as a Deputy Sheriff for Utah County Sheriff's Office and was there 8 years. In 2007 Ryan transferred to and began working for Washington County Sheriff's Office. On January 1, 2020 Ryan officially retired from being a Deputy Sheriff of 20 plus years.

Ryan enjoys serving and interacting with the general public. Ryan loves spreading happiness and joy to everyone he interacts with.

From Ryan the owner:

"Here at YUP Fingerprinting we employ persons with Autism. We have family members with autism. For several years my wife worked with persons with special needs. Most people in our society still don't accept, recognize or understand these persons.

Very often these people get overlooked or rejected when looking for employment. They often get disregarded and seen as incapable. This is very difficult to witness. Therefore we have made it a priority to hire, train and work with persons that fall into this societal category. We also hire persons with other disabilities that typically would not get employed.

If you, our potential customers, take the time to read our reviews, you will see that we get a lot of "1 STAR" reviews. Most are personal attacks on our staff's lack of social skills and not on if the job was done correctly. All of us at YUP Fingerprinting are doing our best to help these employees improve their social skills. They are excellent at doing their job and many times because they hyper-focus on doing it "to a T". If they get stuck or stressed they have learned to contact myself or other staff to ensure they are doing their job correctly.

After visiting our office, you may think of a friend or family member that you see could benefit from working for YUP Fingerprinting. Please have them reach out and we will add them to the call list for future openings. If you have someone that you would like to work at YUP Fingerprinting along side our employees but in a non-paid intern position, that may be a possibility as well.

We do not receive government benefits for employing those with disabilities. Our benefit is from the fellowship we receive from getting to know our staff and seeing them grow.
